Hips, Spine and Painful Hands Topics for Upcoming Programs

Florida Hospital Zephyrhills (FHZ), 7050 Gall Blvd., will introduce three new surgeons to the community during free lectures the last two weeks in October.

Seth Cooper, MD, an orthopedic surgeon and trauma specialist, will talk about the relationship between hip fractures and bone density from noon to 1 pm on Wednesday, October 25. Dr. Cooper will focus primarily on risk factors and prevention tips.

Charles Nalley, MD, who is Board Certified in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and specializes in the spine, will talk about lower back pain. If you find yourself frequently experiencing this discomfort and have to frequently change position to get comfortable, plan to attend the program from noon to 1 pm on Friday, October 27.

Do you experience pain in your hands and joints after you participate in favorite hobbies? Monica Miller, MD, is a hand and plastic surgeon who specializes in hand, microvascular, plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Miller will share how to prevent and treat common hand injuries so you can get back to doing what you love again from noon to 1 pm on Monday, October 30.

All programs will take place in the hospital’s Cypress Conference Room on the first floor. Registration is required by calling (877) 534-3108. A boxed lunch will be provided to each attendee.
