Florida Hospital Zephyrhills Hosts B.E.S.T. Academy Program

Florida Hospital Zephyrhills proudly announces the 2015 B.E.S.T. Academy® Camp Program to give local students the opportunity to work side-by-side with experienced health care professionals. Twenty high school students ranging from 10th to 12th grade with high academic standing will have a chance to learn what it takes to pursue a career as a health care professional. The students were chosen from various Pasco High Schools, including Zephyrhills High School, Pasco High School and Wiregrass High School.

“We are so excited to have the students here at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills,” said Joan Conrad, Director of Patient Experience at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. “This is an excellent mentoring opportunity and an investment in both our youth and for the future of our community.”

The B.E.S.T. program goal is provide hands-on experience for students in real life situations and help them better understand the function of each department. Activities include hospital rotations, workshops on health careers and health issues, guest speakers, etc. The two week program begins on June 15, 2015 and ends with an award ceremony on Friday, June 26th at 11:50 am at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. All who participated in the B.E.S.T. program will be recognized.
