Florida Hospital Zephyrhills announced today that Randy Surber has joined the hospital as the new Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he is responsible for the management of the entire organization, ensuring the success of strategy and vision, culture, mission, quality and safety, operations, and finance within the hospital.
Surber brings more than 30 years of healthcare management experience to his new role. He has been with Adventist Health System since 1997, holding varied executive roles during his 16 year tenure. He first served as a VP for Tennessee Christian Center Medical Center; then as Associate VP of Development & Acquisition for Florida Hospital Orlando; and most recently COO/VP for Florida Hospital Deland, a role he held for the past four years. Prior to joining Adventist Health System, he worked as Regional Vice President for Horizon Health Corporation and as Assistant Administrator for the Hospital Corporation of America.
He holds a Lean Healthcare Certification from Belmont University, Massey Graduate School of Business in Nashville, TN; an MBA in Executive Management from Bristol University in Bristol, TN; a M.Ed. in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, TN; and a B.A. in Psychology from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN.
A Welcome Reception event will be hosted for members of the media and local businesses on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm at the hospital, located at 7050 Gall Boulevard, Zephyrhills, FL 33541.
