Florida Hospital Zephyrhills (FHZ) sponsored free sports physicals for 273 east Pasco children and teens on Saturday morning, June 4, at Pasco High School. Students ranged from five to 18 years old, according to Jane Freeman, FHZ community relations manager. Leading the charge was FHZ physician Danielle Albritton, DO, Dade City, who also serves as Pasco High School’s team doctor; FHZ internists Migdalia Merida, MD and U Khin, MD: FHZ ARNP Rachel Johnson; and Sue Hinds, ARNP, WEE Care, Dade City.
The following businesses provided screenings: Joel Knickerbocker, RPT, Comprehensive Physical Therapy, Dade City; PT Solutions, a service provider of Florida Hospital Zephyrhills; Dr. Ahad Mahootchi’s staff from The Eye Clinic of Florida, Zephyrhills; and Brett Scotch, DO, The Scotch Institute, Wesley Chapel.
The cost for a sports physical with or without insurance is about $35, said Freeman, “It feels great to provide this service at no charge to the youth in our community. It was truly a team effort.”
