Adventist Health System, which includes Florida Hospital Zephyrhills, is honored to receive the 2015 Gallup Great Workplace Award. The award recognizes organizations for their ability to create an engaged workplace culture that drives business outcomes. This is the fifth consecutive year that Adventist Health System and all of its hospital campuses, including Florida Hospital Zephyrhills, has received the Gallup Great Workplace Award.
“We are proud to share in this recognition with all of Adventist Health System’s employees. Employee engagement is a top priority at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills because we understand that engaged employees offer a better patient experience and contribute to improved health care delivery,” said Florida Hospital Zephyrhills president and CEO Randy Surber.
The Gallup organization compares companies across a workplace research database comprised of work teams in more than 100 countries. This year Gallup honored 40 organizations, including Adventist Health System, with the Gallup Great Workplace Award. In these organizations, on average 64 percent of employees are emotionally invested in and focused on creating value for their organizations every day, compared to the worldwide average of 13 percent.
“The world’s top-performing organizations help lead the global economy by engaging their workforces,” said Jim Harter, Ph.D., Gallup’s chief scientist of workplace management and well-being. “Gallup’s Great Workplace Award winners understand and acknowledge the importance of employee engagement by making it a vital part of their organization while using it as a driving force to create real business outcomes.”
This year’s physical award will be presented during Gallup’s Spring Summit in Omaha, Nebraska, June 2-4, 2015. The summit brings together all Great Workplace Award winners, including Adventist Health System, to share best practices for creating and sustaining an engaged workforce.
