Philips Ingenia 1.5T MRI offers better image quality, speed and comfort to patients
WINTER PARK, Fla. November 26, 2013- Central Florida MRI facilities typically offer either ambient lighting or wide-bore options to their patients. Winter Park Memorial Hospital is now the only location to offer a combination of both. The new MRI holds up to 550 pounds and has ambient lighting to make patients feel more at ease during the imaging process. This new technology offers patients of varying size, age, and physical conditions better image quality, faster service and a more relaxing experience.
The new MRI technology is called Philips Ingenia 1.5T. It offers a wide range of services to patients including musculoskeletal, breast, cardiac and prostate imaging. Radiologists and referring physicians are able to get higher quality images that provide more precise diagnosis for patients.
“I’m thrilled about the arrival of this new technology,” said Ken Bradley, administrator at Winter Park Memorial Hospital. “It will enhance the quality of care we deliver to our patients.”
The Philips Ingenia 1.5T is personalized with music, soft lighting and visual displays. Its efficiency provides patients with shorter set-up times and faster results. Patients have the ability to communicate with the radiology staff throughout the entire imaging process, which helps put patients at ease. The Philips Ingenia 1.5T is located at Winter Park Memorial Hospital in the new Centre for Advanced Imaging and Diagnostics.
