Bush Wing opens doubling size of hospital to 150 beds

1965

New addition called the Annex (South Wing) opens bringing capacity to 194 beds

North Wing addition (West Wing) opens, bringing total to 261 beds

1975

Hospital treats its 100,000th patient

1976

New Medical Library opens

1978

East Wing opens, bringing beds to 301 with a contained ICU, PCU and coronary care unit

1981

Obstetrics & Maternity Unit opens — first hospital in the country to introduce modern birthing suites

1983

First hospital in the country to offer infant hearing assessment for all newborns

1984

30,000 square-foot physician office building constructed

1990

Cancer Care Center opens

2000

Becomes part of the Florida Hospital family

2001

Florida Hospital Orthopaedic Institute Opens

Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place opens

Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place expands

Offers first boutique hospital for women & babies with all concierge-level suites
