From its beginnings in 1951, Winter Park Memorial Hospital has grown from the vision of a few local leaders into a 322-bed acute care facility that is a mode of community health and wellness. The hospital has continuously strived over the years to meet the needs of our growing community, adding an upscale obstetrics and Level II neonatal intensive care unit at the Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place; cancer care at the world-renowned Florida Hospital Cancer Institute, Winter Park; and state-of-the-art surgical, recovery and rehabilitation services at the Florida Hospital Orthopedic Institute.
Every year, Winter Park Memorial Hospital treats more than 150,000 patients, including 2,400 baby deliveries and 39,000 people treated in our cutting-edge Emergency Department. In addition, the expert surgeons at Winter Park Memorial Hospital perform nearly 9,000 procedures annually. The hospital employs more than 1,400 of the finest nurses, technicians and support staff, and more then 2,000 doctors, including highly trained physicians and specialists practice at Winter Park Memorial Hospital.
