At Florida Hospital Winter Garden, our goal is to provide care for the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. In keeping with that mission, our chaplains are available to patients and their families as a special spiritual resource. Working together with the other members of our medical team, our chaplains are here to minister to unique spiritual and emotional needs. The pastoral staff are professionally trained caregivers who offer support and care to persons of all religious backgrounds. They are available:
- When you need someone to listen
- When you would like someone to pray with you
- When you are anxious, fearful, or need comfort
- When you or a family member face a major decision
- When you seek spiritual care, guidance or support
- When you desire the sacraments of your faith
Chaplains are always available 24-hours a day, seven-days a week, and our Pastoral Care department can also provide assistance in contacting a specific minister, priest, rabbi or spiritual advisor. To request the ministry of a chaplain, ask your nurse, dial “0” for the hospital operator from the phone in your room.
Our non-denominational chapel and is open 24-hours a day to anyone seeking a place of tranquility, prayer and spiritual strength. It’s conveniently located adjacent to the emergency-room lobby.
