Meet Our Staff

Every member of our health and wellness team has specialized training in her or his respective field. Personal trainers and group exercise instructors maintain nationally recognized certification. Exercise physiologists and fitness specialists have degrees in a related field, enabling them to provide professional instruction, supervision and health assessments so you can reach your personal wellness goals.

Diane Colville, Director

Prior to joining the Health & Wellness Center at Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel, Colville spent 15 years at the Health and Wellness Center at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Ill., as manager of cardiopulmonary health and rehabilitation, and oversaw a satellite preventive cardiology program at the Buffalo Grove Fitness Center in Buffalo Grove, Ill.  Diane led the planning, development and implementation of many ancillary community service lines including weight management programs for children, adolescents and adults; smoking cessation; and exercise programs for those with other chronic health conditions.  She also implemented and managed the animal-assisted therapy at NCH, a program in which dog and handler teams provide a unique aspect of patient care in the hospital setting, growing the program to over 70 dog and handler teams. 

Colville earned a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Service Management from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Ind. and a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Benedictine University Graduate School of Exercise Physiology in Lisle, Ill.  She has been certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as an Exercise Specialist.  She is a member of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and the American College of Sports Medicine.
 

Meredith Bartolomei, Manager, Fitness and Programming

Meredith has a Bachelor of Science in Health/Exercise Science as well as in Biology from Bradley University and a Masters in Exercise Science from USF.  She is an ACSM Certified Health & Fitness Specialist, ACSM Clinical Exercise Specialist and has the ACSM Exercise is Medicine Level 2 credential. 

She has been a personal trainer since 2007 and previously worked in acute and cardiac rehabilitation departments of several hospitals and held a management position at Anytime Fitness. She has previously helped to develop programs for various populations including a warm water activity class for children with disabilities and a lifestyle change program for adults looking to lose weight while working around serious medical issues.

Megen L. Erwine, RDN, LD/N, Registered Dietitian

Megen L. Erwine RD, LD/N is a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian and Nutritionist.  She has spent several years in health and wellness promotion, public health and nutrition education. She has provided nutrition counseling and nutrition education programs for a variety of populations in the areas of weight management, heart health, diabetes, food allergies, general nutrition, women’s health, and pediatrics. Megen has counseled and facilitated nutrition programs for children battling with obesity as well as implemented numerous childhood obesity prevention programs.

Megen earned a bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is an active member in the Tampa Dietetics Association as well as a member of the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.  Megen is also a Certified Child & Family Yoga Instructor through the international Rainbow Kids Yoga program.

George Sorensen, Health & Wellness Manager


Prior to joining the Health & Wellness Center at Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel, George spent 17 years working for the YMCA – starting in Jacksonville (FL) and then in Tampa serving as the executive director of the North Brandon location. His responsibilities ranged from day-to-day operations, developing the facilities operating budget, supervising staff and volunteers, and engaging members in the healthy living and youth programs.  George also served as a leader of the annual mission campaign and other fundraising initiatives. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida.

Lorie Nemitz, Member Services and Business Manager


Prior to working at the Health & Wellness Center at Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel, Lorie spent over 15 years in the customer service field. She previously worked with Starbucks Coffee and Nielsen TV Ratings where she assisted with many high-profile national projects. She has done volunteer work with the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Best Buddies organization. Lorie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast and Electronic Communications Arts from San Francisco State University.
