At Florida Hospital Waterman, we not only provide superior health care to our Lake County neighbors, we also make our hometown a better place to live, work and play. In 2011 alone, we invested more than $28 million into our community. In addition, we employ more than 1,600 people who together represent more than 1,200 full-time-equivalent jobs, including 172 active attending physicians who cover 38 different medical specialties. Between 2009 and 2011, our hospital generated more than $2.1 billion, and paid $229 million in wages and benefits to our employees, and $276 million more in non-payroll expenses to local businesses and governments.
Ours is a quick-growing community—Lake County’s population saw a 39 percent increase in the first decade of this century—and Florida Hospital Waterman is growing right alongside it. With the backing of Adventist Health System, we have the tools and expertise to address our community’s most urgent health care problems, including diabetes, cancer, heart disease and stroke.
