Urinary Incontinence

Related Conditions of Urinary Incontinence

Urinary incontinence, particularly stress incontinence, shares some symptoms with the painful bladder syndrome known as interstitial cystitis (IC), as both are often accompanied by an increase in urinary frequency and urgency; in fact, IC is often undiagnosed or misdiagnosed for years after its symptoms appear, in part because it seems to similar to bladder and other disorders. However, patients with overactive bladder disorders, particularly those that do not respond well to treatments or behavior modifications, may also have IC.
