Preventing Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS)

For women with mild or moderate symptoms, lifestyles changes may be successful in preventing premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Living a healthy life all month can help prevent or reduce symptoms. These are some of the lifestyle changes that may improve symptoms:

  • Exercise routine
  • Eat a well balanced diet (whole grains, vegetables and fruit)
  • Reduce sugar, salt, caffeine and alcohol in the diet
  • Improve sleep routine
  • Do not smoke.
