Pineal Parenchymal Tumor

Screening and Tests for Pineal Parenchymal Tumor

As with other brain tumors, screening for a pineal parenchymal tumor usually involves a full physical exam including a neurological exam, a CT scan, an MRI nor nuclear MRI, and a biopsy, in which a sample of the tumor is removed during surgery (usually, the surgeon will remove as much of the tumor as is feasible during this procedure) and analyzed.
