Welcome to the Florida Hospital Orlando PGY1 & PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration Residency plus Master of Healthcare Administration Program.

This program integrates clinical practice with Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) coursework and administrative rotations to develop a foundation upon which the resident will build a career in health-system pharmacy administration and leadership. The first year of this PGY1/2 program aim for the resident to develop a strong clinical foundation with various opportunities to engage in administrative experiences. The second year focuses on the administrative aspect of this residency. Residents provide evidence-based patient care, lead process improvement initiatives, direct clinical programs and collaborative practice teams, facilitate medical staff committees, supervise pharmacy staff, and manage financial resources. Concentrated and longitudinal experiences develop resident mastery of team leadership, medication distribution and clinical practice management, medication use policy, quality and performance improvement, hospital regulation and accreditation, medication safety, and customer satisfaction. Graduates are highly competitive for a variety of hospital and health-system leadership positions and the MHA degree positions the resident for senior healthcare executive roles.
