Brandi Ligon, RN, BSN, CNRN
Minimally Invasive Brain Surgery Nursing Coordinator

Brandi Ligon is the Minimally Invasive Brain Surgery Nursing Coordinator and handles the coordination of all the patients that come through the program. She received her Associates of Science in Nursing from Daytona State College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences.  Brandi is a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse through the American Association of Neuroscience Nursing.  Brandi has worked in the field of Neuroscience Nursing for nine years and in the medical field for over twenty five years.  Brandi’s experience as a staff registered nurse, preceptor, mentor and physician practice manager/consultant has prepared her for her current position at Florida Hospital Orlando.  As the Nursing coordinator, Brandi educates staff and patients and leads the neuroscience team toward exceptional patient care for the Minimally Invasive Brain Surgery Program.

Nadia Fakira, RN, BA, MA
Spine Care Coordinator

From the moment you contact us, Nadia Fakira, RN, BA, MA, our Spine Care Coordinator, will walk you and your family through each step of the treatment process beginning at scheduling an appointment to returning home after a life-changing surgery. Our Spine Care Coordinator provides the following services:

  • Provides a central point of patient access
  • Educate patients on diagnosis and treatment options
  • Facilitate scheduling of patients for additional testing as needed
  • Coordination of scheduling and treatment
  • Communicate with referring physicians
  • Educate patient about physician's diagnosis of condition
  • Refer patient to appropriate provider based upon individual circumstances
  • Navigation of patient through surgical process (if applicable)
  • Follow-up after discharge from hospital
