Labor and Delivery Program

At Florida Hospital Orlando, we strive to ensure that mothers-to-be get the absolute best care possible. This includes not only having access to the best physicians, specialists, facilities and state-of-the-art technology, but also a nurturing, attentive, patient-centered environment. There’s a reason Florida Hospital has been named one of America’s Best Hospitals by US News & World Report. Every day, the highly skilled physicians and staff at our hospital work diligently to live up to that honor.

Nowhere is that more true than in our Labor and Delivery Program. We specialize in obstetric care for both routine and high-risk pregnancies. No matter how easy or difficult the pregnancy, our goal is to give our patients the best pregnancy experience possible, and to provide them with peace of mind should any unexpected complications occur.

The obstetricians at the nationally renowned Florida Hospital Orlando are available in the emergency room and emergency obsetrics triage area 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our facility also hosts specially trained neonatologists and the highest-level neonatal intensive care unit, which means we can care for premature and low-birth-weight babies, and we have surgical specialists available should the need arise. The obstetrics team is available 24 hours, seven days a week in case an unforeseen emergency occurs.

We offer support of parent education classes on subjects such as breastfeeding, pediatric CPR and more.  In addition, new and prospective mothers can avail themselves of our Mom’s Store and Breastfeeding Center. There you can find a wide selection of rental items and products to help new mothers breastfeed.  Our Mom’s Store is located at 2520 N. Orange Ave., Suite 103, Orlando, FL 32804. You’ll find convenient parking right behind the store.

Find out about Central Florida’s first milk depot.  The Milk Depot serves as a safe, controlled collection point where women can donate their mother’s milk for premature and at risk infants in need.  We make it easy for moms to help other moms provide vitally important nutrients to their babies who are struggling to survive. At Florida Hospital Orlando, our Labor and Delivery Program is designed to treat all of our patients’ needs—physical, mental and spiritual. If you’re pregnant or hope to become pregnant, call (855) 303-DOCS, and discover for yourself what sets us apart.
