The Center for Interventional Endoscopy (CIE) at Florida Hospital was created as a state of the art center, integrating therapeutic endoscopy with minimally invasive surgery to provide the highest quality care for patients with complex digestive diseases. The CIE physicians are trained in the most advanced techniques and procedural services available for the treatment of digestive disorders. The CIE team advances collaborative research not only at Florida Hospital, but throughout the world to further the treatment and knowledge of digestive diseases. Dr. Hawes is the Medical Director of Florida Hospital Institute for Minimally Invasive Therapy and serves on the governing board of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Varadarajulu is currently the Medical Director at CIE and specializes in the treatment of complex pancreatic and biliary disorders. Dr. Hasan is the Director of Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at CIE and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine (UCFCM). CIE is pleased to have Dr. Udayakumar Navaneethan join our team from Cleveland Clinic. Together these experts integrate diagnostic/therapeutic endoscopy with minimally invasive surgical techniques to provide our patients with advanced comprehensive care.
