Are there volunteer opportunities at Florida Hospital?
Yes. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, call Volunteer Services at (407) 303-1813.
Can flowers or mail be delivered to patient rooms?
Yes. Florists may deliver flowers to your room unless otherwise indicated. Mail is delivered to rooms Monday through Friday. It is not delivered on Saturdays, Sundays or on holidays. Mail will be forwarded to your home address following discharge.
Is there a shop in the hospital to purchase gifts, flowers or other items?
Yes. The Market Place is located in the lobby of the Ginsburg Tower and offers a wide selection of gifts, flowers, toiletries, newspapers and boutique items. All profits benefit hospital programs.

Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am to 9:00 pm
Friday, 6:00 am to 4:00 pm
Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
Where can I purchase food within the hospital?
Visitors are welcome to dine in the hospital, and for their convenience we offer a few options:
The Welch Cafeteria is located at the bottom of the escalator in the main hospital and is open 7:00 am to 1:30 am, seven days a week. Menu items are limited from 3:30 to 5:30 pm.
The Lakeside Café is open weekdays from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm. It is closed on weekends.
Market Place gift shop also offers pre-made snacks, sandwiches and baked goodies. Open Monday to Thursday 6:00 am to 9:00 pm; Friday, 6:00 am to 4:00 pm; Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
What are the meal options for patients in their rooms?
Patients may choose from a vegetarian or non-vegetarian menu. Prior to each meal, a host or hostess will ask for their selections. Their mealtime may vary according to the patient’s room location and test schedule.
Meals are served during the following hours:
Breakfast – 6:45 to 8:15 am
Lunch – 11:45 am to 1:15 pm
Dinner – 4:45 to 6:15 pm
What is Eden Spa?
Eden, The Spa for Image Discovery is a healing place with a calming atmosphere staffed by certified, licensed and experienced personnel knowledgeable in treating our patients’ aesthetic needs. We offer products and services to help all cancer patients face life’s most delicate challenges with strength, dignity, sensitivity and faith. Although we specialize in offering products and services for cancer patients, Eden, The Spa for Image Discovery is available to other hospital patients as well.
Days and hours of operation are:
Monday and Wednesday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Is there a pharmacy in the hospital where I can have my prescription(s) filled?
There are two pharmacies available on the hospital campus:
Located inside the Market Place in the Ginsburg Tower, the RxPress Pharmacy can process your prescription(s) before you leave the hospital. Ask your nurse about this service.
Operating Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
Orlando Retail Pharmacy
Located inside the Medical Plaza, the Orlando Retail Pharmacy also offers patients the opportunity to get their prescriptions filled.
Operating Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
Can someone help me with lodging accommodations?
Guest Services can help meet your family’s specific needs by arranging lodging at local hotels and on-campus housing. Florida Hospital’s Circle of Friends Homes at the Orlando campus has rooms to accommodate short-term housing for those who might face the burden and expense of long-term lodging away from home. The Ronald McDonald House of Orlando, located on the corner of Princeton and Alden streets, also has rooms to accommodate family members of children undergoing treatment at the hospital. Is shuttle service available through Florida Hospital Orlando?
Yes. The Florida Hospital Visitor Shuttle transports guests to and from the main hospital and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To request shuttle service, visit the Information Desk or call extension 1103025.

Are pastors available to meet or pray with me or my family member(s)?
Yes. At Florida Hospital our goal is to care for you as a whole person—mind, body, and spirit. In keeping with ourmission, a special resource is available to you—our chaplains. Working together with the other members of your medical team, our chaplains are here to minister to your spiritual and emotional needs and those of your family. The members of our pastoral staff are professionally trained caregivers who offer support and care to persons of all religious backgrounds. You may request the ministry of a chaplain through your nurse, by dialing “0” for the hospital operator from the phone in your room, or by calling (407) 303-1553.
Can I request a specific patient room in which to stay?
We will do our best to meet your wishes, but there are no guarantees. Regardless of the number of beds in the room, all room charges are based on status of care.
Is smoking permitted on the hospital campus?
No. All Florida Hospital campuses and properties are smoke- and tobacco-free environments.
When are the general visiting hours?
General visiting hours are 8:30 am to 8:30 pm. Many Critical Care areas may require limited visitation in order to ensure a restful and quiet environment for your loved one. Other restrictions or limitations may be required depending on the patient’s situation.
Are there after-hours visiting hours?
In order to ensure safety for our patients, visitors and employees, visitors to Florida Hospital Orlando between the hours of 9:30 pm and 5:00 am are required to wear a visitor’s ID badge. The visitor badge can be obtained from the Guest Services representative at the Information Desk at the point of entry to the hospital by presenting photo identification.
What are the parking options and prices?
Parking options are available to patients and visitors of Florida Hospital Orlando as listed below:
Valet services are available at the main entrance of Florida Hospital Orlando seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Emergency Valet Services are available to patients free of charge seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Florida Hospital for Children Valet Services is available 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, seven days a week. Florida Medical Plaza (South and North Entrance) valet Services are offered Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The charge for Valet Services is $5 per day. Valet customers wishing to leave the hospital and return on the same day may do so for a re-park fee of $1, providing they save their valet ticket. Handicap visitors with state-issued handicapped tab may valet park for $2 per day.
King Street Parking Garage
Open seven-days a week, 24 hours a day, the King Street Garage is located next to the Medical Plaza. (Take Rollins Street toward Orange Avenue. Across the railroad tracks, turn right onto Sanitarium Road, then left onto King Street and the entrance will be on your left.) Once parked, take the elevators to the third floor and go across the walkway into the main hospital.
Alden Street Parking Garage
Open seven-days a week, 24 hours a day, the Alden Street Garage is located across the street from the hospital main entrance. Take the garage elevator to the third floor to access the crosswalk to the main hospital.
McRae Ave Parking Garage
Open seven-days a week, 24 hours a day, the McRae Ave Parking Garage is located on Rollins Street across from the North entrance to the Florida Medical Plaza and connected to the Alden St Garage on Rollins Street. Take the garage elevator to the 3rd floor to access the Medical Office Building and crosswalk to the main hospital.
Garage Parking Costs
The charge for parking in the Florida Hospital garages is $4 per day maximum. There is no charge on Friday nights and Saturdays. Seniors 65 years and older may pick up a free garage parking pass at any Florida Hospital Orlando Information Desk. Family members of patients admitted for seven days and longer are eligible for free parking for the remainder of the patient admission starting on the seventh day.
