The American College of Radiology (ACR) Breast Imaging Center of Excellence Status
FRi and Florida Hospital are recognized for meeting the highest national standards for breast imaging diagnosis and breast health care, including the American College of Radiology (ACR) Breast Imaging Center of Excellence Status.
Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP) Grant
Florida Hospital Cancer Institute (FHCI) has received a three-year, $2.1 million grant from the National Cancer Institute's Community Clinical Oncology Program. This grant will fund NCI-approved clinical trials to be offered to more patients in Central Florida. As one of the largest federal grants received in Central Florida, FHCI was awarded the grant based on its history of high quality clinical research work.
Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) Accreditation
Florida Hospital Cancer Institute's Bone Marrow Transplant Program is proud to once again be recognized for high standards in bone marrow transplantation and excellence in by care by receiving the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy's (FACT) accreditation. Since 2009, Florida Center for Cellar Therapy has held this certification based on surpassing the requirements set by international teams of cellular therapy experts that address quality standards in cell collection, manufacturing and administration. Florida Hospital Cancer Institute is one of two centers in Central Florida to hold this accreditation and continues to lead the way in cancer treatment.
National Accreditation Program for Breast Cancers (NAPBC)
Florida Hospital Cancer Institute's Breast Program received certicification by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Cancers (NAPBC). This certification recognizes our cancer program for meeting the highest national standards for breast cancer care. Florida Hospital Cancer Institute treats more newly diagnosed cancer patients than any other health care system in Florida and this certification shows that our following and surpassing national standards and protocol. Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) Certification
Florida Hospital Cancer Institute (FHCI) received the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) certification awarded for exceptional outpatient care. FHCI is the only cancer treatment provider in Central Florida to receive the three-year certification.
The primary goal of the QOPI Certification process is to encourage practice improvement. The QOPI Certification seal indicates that a practice benchmarks against national standards that are reliable and credible and also acts to incorporate standards and processes to safeguard both the practice and patients. A certified practice strives to better streamline policies and procedures and improve interdepartmental communications, especially in regards to record keeping and billing.
