Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Florida Hospital Ocala formerly Munroe Regional Medical Center's hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy provides treatment options for patients with difficult to heal wounds. Saturation in 100% pure oxygen can promote the body’s natural immune system and healing responses, allowing wounds to heal more easily, from the inside out.

HBO chambers are a clear acrylic shell. Patients can listen to music, watch T.V., movies and DVD’s on players mounted above the chamber. Patients are constantly monitored by certified hyperbaric staff members, who remain in constant contact with those inside the chamber through an intercom system.
