Florida Hospital Ocala formerly Munroe Regional Medical Center offers a mobile wellness unit that travels to area businesses to provide affordable, quick and convenient health screenings and vaccinations, as well as wellness education, presentations and other services.
Screening services are provided to assist you with your health. Our screening services are not considered diagnostic tests and do not replace the advice and recommendations of your healthcare provider. Remember to fast for nine hours prior to your wellness assessment screening. If you cannot fast, you may still participate in the screening.
A wellness assessment is recommended for anyone interested in monitoring their health. The assessment includes: total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, TC/HDL ratio and blood glucose, blood pressure, height & weight, grip strength, body fat analysis.
Framingham Cardiac Risk Profile Screening
A screening recommended for individuals with high total cholesterol, high blood pressure or low HDL. Screening will yield a statistical prediction of your percentage of a cardiac event in the next ten years.
A screening recommended for individuals with unexplained fatigue or dizziness, diet low in iron or family history of anemia. This screening will measure the hemoglobin blood count.
Liver Function Screening
A screening recommended for individuals taking cholesterol-lowering medications or other medications, those with a family history of liver disease, hepatitis or jaundice, or those who drink excessive alcohol. The screening will measure the ALT enzyme released into the blood when the liver is damaged.
Hemoglobin Aic (HbA1c) Screening
A screening recommended for individuals with diabetes, pre-diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, a family history of diabetes or those who are overweight. Screening will indicate a person's blood sugar control over the past 3 months by measuring the percentage of red blood cells bound to glucose.
Prostate Specific Antigent Screening (PSA)
A screening recommended for men over the age of 40 or for men of any age who have a family history of prostate cancer. This screening will measure the Prostate Specific Antigent in the blood.
Thyroid Screening (TSH)
A screening to detect Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, which may cause Hypothyroidism and Hyperthyroidism. Symptoms include weight gain, fatigue, and muscle soreness.
A screening to measure hsCRP (C-Reactive Protein) in the blood. This screening can help determine the risk of heart attack and stroke due to the inflammatory response, even in apparently healthy individuals.
