Cardiac Electrophysiology

Florida Hospital Ocala offers a modern cardiac electrophysiology lab to address abnormal electrical activities of the heart. Our cardiologists and cardio technicians use advanced imaging and technology to diagnose and to treat complex electrical conditions such as:

  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Atrial fibrillation
  • Ventricular tachycardia ablation
  • Arrhythmia - irregular heartbeat
  • Atrial tachycardia
  • Atrial flutter
  • Paroxysmal atrial tachycardia
  • Sick sinus syndrome
  • Sinus tachycardia
  • Premature atrial contractions
  • Supraventricular tachycardia

Our skilled electrophysiologist is experienced with the placement and maintenance of pacemakers as well as cardiac ablation, cryoablation, cardiac resynchronization therapy and other treatments for cardiac conditions.

Diagnostics

Cardio technicians and an electrophysiologist will use imaging techniques to obtain a picture of your heart to better understand what condition it is in. An electrophysiology study, including an imaging technique, will be used to gather information to make a diagnosis of your heart condition so an individual treatment plan can be designed.

Our imaging technology includes:

  • Fluoroscope
  • Computed tomography
  • Intracardiac ultrasound
