Road Race Raises $10,000 to Fight Breast Cancer Locally

DELTONA, Fla., November 17, 2015 – On Oct. 11, the Paved Nature Trails in Deltona were covered with more than 600 sets of pink feet, as part of the fourth annual Florida Hospital Fish Memorial Pink Feet 10K/5K Road Race. 
 
The chip-timed USA Track & Field certified race raised $10,000 to provide screening mammograms and digital breast imaging for local women in-need. 
 
In the 10K, Rimini, Italy resident Marcello Quieti, 31, was the overall male winner with a time of 44:31 and Lake Mary resident Katy Cook, 36, was the overall female winner with a time of 48:42 
 
In the 5K, Deltona resident Daniel Nugent, 16, was the overall male winner with a time of 19:59.  Winter Haven resident Ashley Mathurin, 24, was the overall female winner with a time of 24:17. 
 
Pink Feet costume contest judges Florida Hospital Fish Memorial Foundation board member, event sponsor and Orange City Edward Jones Financial Advisor Jeffery Ritchey and his wife Debbie, as well as Florida Hospital Fish Memorial Foundation executive director Maureen Mercho gave multiple awards for the best Pink Feet Costume winners.
