Florida Hospital Zephyrhills (FHZ) is pleased to announce that Amy Carl, RN, a nurse on the hospital’s Med Surg 3 Unit, is the July recipient of the much sought after DAISY Award.
Carl, who began her FHZ career in 2016, has already stepped up to live and practice FHZ’s mission by extending the healing ministry of Christ through excellence in nursing, her supervisor said. DAISY Award winners are nominated monthly by patients, family members and/or staff. In Carl’s case, a patient who she cared for provided this testimonial for a nomination: “I can’t say enough! I’m blessed to have her! Amy exemplifies what it takes to be an excellent care provider. She is professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She observes not only medical needs but patient needs at an emotional and physical level. She always searches for an answer to all issues and made sure my family and I understood my treatment. She supported me and celebrated my birthday even though I was hospitalized.”
