DELAND, Fla., January 20, 2017 – Florida Hospital DeLand has selected Rasha Shettia to serve as nurse manager for 2A, a 24-bed medical/surgical/oncology inpatient unit serving cancer patients recovering from surgery and undergoing dialysis.
In this role, Shettia is responsible for the nearly 50 nurses on the unit and ensuring that excellent and compassionate care is provided to patients.
With five years of experience at Florida Hospital DeLand, Shettia most recently served as assistant nurse manager, supporting and supervising bedside staff in providing daily clinical care.
Shettia is an Ocoee resident and earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Seminole State College of Florida in Sanford, as well as a bachelor degree in education from Alexandria University in Egypt.
