Hundreds of Central Florida women gathered Tuesday to hear an inspirational message from Lisa Oz, author and wife of Dr. Mehmet Oz, during the Florida Hospital for Women Interfaith Prayer Breakfast.
Oz spoke about the importance of leading balanced lives and having gratitude, and how those approaches can improve health and relationships with others.
Oz noted that “multitasking is not balance,” and asked guests what type of energy — positive or negative — they bring to their families, friends and workplace.
“Your attitude can be a choice,” Oz said. “You are not a victim of your circumstances.”
Oz has been a contributing writer to six New York Times best-selling books including, “US: Transforming Ourselves and the Relationships that Matter Most,” and “YOU: The Owner’s Manual” series.
She is president of Ozworks, a media and investment consulting company, and directs Pine Room Pictures, a production company specializing in family-friendly media.
The Interfaith Prayer Breakfast was hosted by Florida Hospital for Women, and also featured performances by the Orlando Ballet.
Florida Hospital has been committed to women’s health for more than 100 years, and Tuesday’s event is just one of many ways the organization seeks promote wellness in the community.
