Florida Hospital for Children Opens Regional Clinic in Osceola County

ORLANDO, Fla., September 24, 2013- Florida Hospital for Children is expanding its pediatric services by opening a regional clinic in Osceola County that will allow more access to pediatric specialists for children in the Central Florida region. The new clinic in Celebration will give pediatric patients and their families the opportunity to see world-class specialists closer to home and minimize travel time to those seeking specialized medical care. Families will have access to variety of pediatric sub-specialists including specialists in cardiology, endocrinology, surgery, urology and others.
      “We are thrilled to be expanding our services,” said Marla Silliman, administrator of Florida Hospital for Children. “By bringing world-class physicians to the children who need medical care, we can minimize the stress that can come from caring for a sick child. It is our hope that every child throughout Central Florida have access to the specialists they need.”
      The first regional clinic opened in 2011 in Viera, Fla., in Brevard County. Florida Hospital for Children also operates a regional clinic in Port Orange, in Volusia County. The regional clinic in Celebration will be the third clinic and the first expansion of Florida Hospital for Children services into Osceola County.
      The Celebration Regional Clinic will allow patients to receive medical care without having to travel to Florida Hospital for Children in Orlando.
