Florida Hospital Advertising Campaigns Earn Top Awards

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., March 16, 2017 – The Florida Hospital East Florida Region – which is composed of the six Florida Hospitals in Volusia and Flagler counties – received three American Advertising Awards, formally known as the ADDYs, during the American Advertising Federation’s Daytona Beach Gala at the Daytona International Speedway Rolex Lounge at March 4.

The Florida Hospital East Florida Region was awarded a Gold ADDY in the Integrated Brand Identity Campaign category for the hospital’s partnership activation campaign with the Daytona International Speedway. The Gold ADDY is the highest level of recognition for creative excellence in the category and in 2016, Florida Hospital became the official healthcare partner of Daytona International Speedway and opened a fan injector that featured Florida Hospital branding.

The local hospital system also received the People’s Choice Award, which was voted on by advertising and marketing peers during the event.

In addition, the Florida Hospital East Florida Region was presented with the Partnership Award for its significant contributions to the success of American Advertising Federation’s Daytona Beach chapter.

The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local American Advertising Awards club competitions.

Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation, the local phase is the first of a three-tier, national competition aimed at to recognizing and rewarding the creative spirit and excellence in the art of advertising.

Across the country, local entrants first vie to win ADDY Awards in their markets. At the second tier, local ADDY winners compete against winners from other local clubs in one of 15 district competitions. District ADDY winners are then forwarded to the third tier, which is the national stage of the American Advertising Awards, in New Orleans in June.

With the Florida Hospital East Florida Region’s Gold ADDY in the Integrated Brand Identity Campaign category, the hospital system is entered into the fourth district competition, which includes the entire state of Florida, and the winners will be revealed in Miami in May.
