Two Florida Hospital Zephyrhills (FHZ) nurses recently received the highly prestigious DAISY Award for providing exceptional nursing care. They are Melanie Whittington from the hospital’s Baby Place® and Gabriel Mangual Reyes who works in the Progressive Care Unit. Both have been FHZ employees since 2015.
The DAISY Award is honored monthly to nurses who go above and beyond to exemplify our mission and nursing standards,” said Gwen Alonso, RN, FHZ’s chief nursing officer. Nominations come from patients and are then reviewed by administration, Alonso added.
