Florida Hospitals Named One of the Best Places to Work in IT

VOLUSIA & FLAGLER COUNTIES, July 10, 2018 – Adventist Health System, which includes the Florida Hospitals in Volusia and Flagler counties, has been recognized as one of the best organizations in the nation for those with a career in the information technology (IT) industry.

Computerworld, a national publication website and digital magazine for information technology and business technology professionals, surveys companies across the country to compile a list of the top organizations for employing IT professionals and has recently released its 25th annual list of the Best Places to Work in IT, ranking Adventist Health System among the nation’s best. Adventist Health System was ranked 53rd on the list of the top 100 large organizations.

"Information technology is shaping and influencing so much of how companies function and prosper across industries,” said Brent Snyder, executive vice president and chief information officer for Adventist Health System. “It is an honor to make this list, and I am thankful that we have a talented team of IT professionals whose knowledge, skill and dedication enable us to support the business and technology systems we need to deliver exceptional patient care and fulfill our mission.”

Adventist Health System’s IT department, Adventist Information Technology, manages and oversees the robust business systems and information technology solutions across its hospitals, home health and hospice agencies, skilled nursing facilities, physician practices and business offices.

In addition to competitive benefits and compensation, Adventist Information Technology team members can participate in numerous growth and continued learning opportunities, including leadership development courses, training and certifications.

The list of 100 Best Places to Work in IT is compiled based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, career development and training programs. Computerworld also conducts extensive surveys of IT workers, and their responses are heavily factored into the determination of rankings. More than 20,000 IT employees from the final 100 organizations responded to the employee survey.
