Florida Hospital HospiceCare has been serving the Volusia, Flagler, Orange and Osceola Counties since 1996. HospiceCare is accredited by the Joint Commission and is the only faith-based hospice servicing the area. Florida Hospital HospiceCare’s mission is to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of terminally ill patients and those who love them. This means providing individualized, personal care in a variety of settings. HospiceCare services focus on providing pain and system management for terminally ill patients through the coordination of a nursing team. HospiceCare provides a variety of support services such as counseling, emotional and spiritual support, as well as financial, legal and social resources. HospiceCare also provides complementary specialized support services, unique to Florida Hospital. HospoochCare & HospussCare provide patients with a visit by our pet partner team. This program brings volunteers and their trained therapy animals to a patient to help reduce isolation, stimulate communication and improve emotional and social health. Life legacies is another complementary service provided by HospiceCare. This program allows a patient to record their life stories to share with future generations.
