Art of Healing: Worry Dolls

A free, visual art program open to anyone in need of healing: patients, caregivers and survivors can all benefit from self-expression.
Worry Dolls are traditionally made by the indigenous people of Guatemala as a remedy for worrying. Please join us for this Art of Healing Workshop, where you will learn the Mayan Legend of the Worry Doll and then use this as inspiration to make a set of your own non-traditional, artful dolls. Using our hands to wrap yarn and fabrics in a repetitive and patterned nature can be calming and soothing, and creating a set of personalized dolls is an opportunity for self expression. All supplies are included; open to participants 16 and older. Workshop led by Kristin Heron.
This workshop is held on the second and fourth Thursday of the month. Please select the one date/location that works best for you. Class is free but space is limited; please register in advance.
Please RSVP online at  or by phone 386-676-3347
