The primary symptom of infertility is not being able to conceive a child after trying to become pregnant for a least one year. Also a history of miscarriages may be a sign of infertility. Other factors include:
Abnormal periods – having no periods or irregular or painful periods, and abnormal menstruation or ovulation.
Age – women over the age of 35 who haven’t become pregnant after six months of trying.
Known fertility problem – any of the causes that may affect you or your partner.
If a couple experiences any of the signs of infertility, an infertility evaluation of both partners by an OB/GYN specializing in reproductive endocrinology may be in order.
