Treatments for Hyperplasia

In most cases, there are no required treatments for usual hyperplasia. For atypical hyperplasia, however, follow-up care and monitoring is required. Your doctor may prescribe you preventative breast cancer medicines, such as tamoxifen or raloxifene, and may advise you to undergo certain lifestyle changes related to weight regulation, limiting alcohol intake, and having a high-fiber, low-fat diet, in addition to regular breast exams and mammograms.
