Hyperemesis Gravidarum

Survivability of Hyperemesis Gravidarum

Surviving hyperemesis gravidarum is not a concern due to the effectiveness of treatment. Certainly the dehydration, liver damage and jaundice associated with the condition are very serious. However, responsive treatment usually prevents these problems from being life threatening. With proper follow-up care, the prognosis for women affected by hyperemesis gravidarum is good and almost never causes significant complications for the mother or her baby.
