In the beginning stages of gallstones, patients may not experience any symptoms or pain. These stones are called “silent stones.” They do not cause symptoms because they do not interfere with how the digestive system works.
When the stones grow larger, it can cause blockages, inflammation or infection in the bile duct or gallbladder. At this stage, the gallstones begin to create the symptoms of a gallbladder attack.
If you experience any of the symptoms of gallstones, contact Florida Hospital for medical treatment.
