The Gift of Motherhood

These classes provide you with need-to-know information about the experience of childbirth, with a focus on answering the questions that today’s parents are asking. Topics include pregnancy discomfort, what to expect during labor, postpartum care, baby care and much more. Our group and online classes are designed to give you and your support person the education you need to feel confident about the journey to parenthood. 

Class Formats

Online Class

For some expectant moms in today’s busy world, getting to class while pregnant can be both uncomfortable and inconvenient. This is why we now offer an online course complete with educational articles, videos and more that are designed to help you learn about the last trimester of pregnancy, labor, postpartum and baby care.

Learn at your own pace, from the comfort of your own home. A book that accompanies this class is included with your online registration and will be mailed to you and provides three-month access to the online course.

The Series 

Designed to meet the unique educational needs of expectant moms, our core series of classes will cover what you should know about the last trimester of pregnancy, labor, postpartum and baby care. 
One-Day Classes 
For your convenience, we offer a one-day class that covers each of the main topics surveyed in The Series, including what every mommy-to-be should know about the last trimester of pregnancy, labor, postpartum and baby care. 

Class Prerequisite

You do not have to be a Florida Hospital patient to attend our classes.

Course Instructor

A Certified Childbirth Educator teaches this course.

Class Registration

It is recommended to register for classes during your second trimester with classes beginning early in your third trimester. Registration and pre-payment through EventBrite are required to reserve your spot. Cost of this class includes 2 participants.

Class Cancellation Policy

To accommodate others who may wish to attend this class, we ask that all cancellations be submitted at least 72 hours prior to the start of the class. If you paid a fee for the class, and you submitted the cancellation notice 72 hours or more prior to the start of the class, you can either apply the class fee to another Florida Hospital class or request a refund.
