What age should I get a mammogram?

The American College of Radiology recommends that women age 40 and older should get a yearly screening mammogram for as long as a woman is in good health. If you have symptoms, such as a lump, discharge, other abnormalities, or a family history of breast issues, it may be recommended to start screening at an early age.

Is a prescription required?

No prescription is currently required for a screening mammogram for women 40+, but, if you have one, please bring it to your appointment.

What if I have had one this year?

Most health insurances require one year and one day between screening mammograms.
