Providing quality health care is not just about treating medical problems. It is also about ministering to the intangibles—emotional and spiritual wellness—that have a striking relationship with physical health. As a faith-based health care provider, we’re committed to holistic healing: mind, body and spirit. We invite our patients and guests to visit our chapel, located just off the main lobby next to the Administration office, whenever they feel the need. It’s open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our chapel is non-denominational and open to people of all faiths. We also hold interfaith services in the chapel weekdays at 10:00 am.
If you would like to speak to a minister, our Pastoral Care Department would be happy to help. Our team is staffed by a full-time chaplain, and more than 62 clergy/laity who on call around the clock. Our staff and volunteer chaplains are committed to providing for individuals’ spiritual and emotional needs regardless of their faith tradition. They represent more than 25 denominations—and if you’d like, they can connect you with a clergy member from your own religious community. Call the Chaplain's office at (386) 917-5042.
If you have been around our hospital, you’ve probably noticed staff members with “praying hands” pins on their ID badges or uniforms. That pin signals that these folks are willing to pray with or for you; all you have to do is ask. We believe that prayer can be a very powerful thing.
