New Cancer Care Navigator

ORANGE CITY – Florida Hospital Fish Memorial announced today that Barbara Ann Bittner RN, BSN has been selected to serve as the Cancer Care Navigator. 

In this role, Bittner will serve as the single point of contact for cancer patients and their families and will assist in all aspects of the cancer patient’s care experience. Bittner will meet individually with patients and caregivers and offer education, referrals and support services. As a patient’s personal guide, she will steer patients through the psychological, emotional and financial challenges associated with cancer. 

In her previous roles, Bittner has been instrumental in both inpatient and outpatient intravenous therapy and chemotherapy infusion departments. She has more than 20 years of experience working with cancer patients and their families.

Bittner received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Aloysius College, in Cresson, Pa., where she graduated magna cum laude.
