Facial Peels

Conditions Related to Facial Peels

Chemical facial peels provide a non-surgical alternative to enhance appearance and to treat a number of skin problems.
The most common conditions related to facial peels include:
  • Acne, in which peels reduce pimples and bumps, allow topical acne medications to penetrate the skin more efficiently. Proper technique can restore a smooth color to dark skin with pigment spots caused by acne.
  • Mild to moderate scars from acne.
  • Photodamage caused by regular exposure to UVA and UVB rays in sunlight.
  • Melasma are irregular patches of darkened skin on the face.
