Hearts & Minds: Cardiac Maintenance: Electric & Plumbing Seminar

Spring is in the air, which means it’s time to do some cleaning and regular maintenance. Much like your home, your heart relies on vital electrical and plumbing systems to keep working properly.

Atrial fibrillation is a condition in which your heart’s electrical impulses misfire, causing an irregular heartbeat. This can lead to blood clots, stroke, heart failure, and other complications. Your cardiovascular plumbing system consists of arteries, veins, and valves. These must be kept clean and functioning to keep blood flowing throughout your body.

Join the experts from Florida Hospital Pepin Heart Institute for this important discussion about your heart’s electrical and plumbing systems.

The Role of Diet and Nutrition in Managing IBD

Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are chronic conditions that occur in individuals of all ages, races and genders. With enormous variations in how the symptoms of IBD present themselves and how the disease progresses, the experiences of those with IBD vary widely.

While there is no known cure for the disease, significant strides have been made in the ability to manage it. Medical advances in drug development and diagnostic testing, together with a growing understanding of how food and diet affect the digestive system, specifically for those with IBD, allow us to help patients reduce and control flare-ups.

Join us for a FREE community seminar to learn how maintaining proper nutrition can contribute to overall wellness, alleviate symptoms and allow you to do the things you enjoy.
