    Stuttering Support Group

    If you stutter, you’re not alone. The National Stuttering Association wants to help you on your quest to communicate more easily and effectively. This support group is intended for adults who stutter and provides a safe and supportive environment for peer discussion. Under the guidance of one of our speech-language pathologists, attendants will learn new coping strategies and methods for improving overall quality of life. Meetings are intended to benefit individuals who stutter and for anyone with an interest in learning more about stuttering. This group meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 6:30 to 8 pm.     Mom & Baby Support Group

    The Florida Hospital Tampa Mom & Baby Support Group gives new moms the opportunity to meet other new moms to discuss issues pertaining to motherhood. The group also allows babies to interact with one another. A discussion topic will be presented at each support group meeting. Topic examples include "Infant Sign Language," "Tips for Traveling with a Baby," and "How to Make Baby Food." The group also includes activities for the baby, such as "Infant Sign Language," and "Sing-A-Long with Baby." The group will occasionally host a guest speaker.

    Babies must be between the ages of 4 weeks and 14 months to attend the group.

    Sibling Class

    Our sibling class is geared toward a variety of ages and prepares young children for the arrival of their little brother or sister. Here, children will talk about what a new baby means to them, learn what babies are able to do, watch a fun educational video, learn to change a diaper and will be given a sibling certificate at the end of class. This course also includes a tour of The Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place, so big brothers and sisters can see where their new siblings will be born. We often find that “older” children (10-11 years old) are great class helpers for our younger students and grandparents are also welcome to attend. Location: The class will be held in The 2nd floor of The Medical LIbrary here on our Campus.

    The Baby Bunch Support Group was created especially for the new mom and her baby. The first year of life with a new baby can sometimes be stressful and overwhelming, which is why we developed this resource to provide support and information to help women adjust to their roles as new moms. Guest speakers will lead a different topic discussion each week. Breastfeeding and bottle-feeding mom are welcome to attend. Lactation consultants are available for those who are breastfeeding.

    The Baby Bunch Support Group

    The Baby Bunch Support Group was created especially for the new mom and her baby. The first year of life with a new baby can sometimes be stressful and overwhelming, which is why we developed this resource to provide support and information to help women adjust to their roles as new moms. Guest speakers will lead a different topic discussion each week. Breastfeeding and bottle-feeding mom are welcome to attend. Lactation consultants are available for those who are breastfeeding.

    Childbirth Preparation - One Day "Super Prep"

    This one day course is designed to prepare you and your partner for all phases of birth. It is recommended that this course be completed 4-6 weeks before due date. Class covers: what to expect in the hospital, how to tell if you are in labor, labor support techniques, medications and interventions, cesarean birth, postpartum information and a tour of the facility.     Gift of Motherhood - One Day Class

    Our one-day class will include the core subjects from The Series: what every Mommy-to-be should know about the last trimester of pregnancy, labor, postpartum and baby care. You also have the opportunity to attend one of the elective classes that include the following subjects, natural childbirth, epidurals and C-sections. A tour of the Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place at Winter Park Memorial Hospital is also included.

    Lunch will be provided for our couples.
