Sports Medicine

From the pro to the weekend warrior, from patients young and old spanning all manner of illnesses and injuries, Florida Hospital Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation has the skill and compassion to help you feel like yourself again. We provide rehabilitation care to any individual whose function has been limited by damage to the musculoskeletal system caused by work- or sports-related injuries, automobile accidents, overuse injuries, surgery, degenerative changes and more.
Our goal is to restore as much of our patients’ pre-injury functionality as possible, with a program designed to decrease pain, muscle spasms and swelling through the use of a number of therapies, including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, soft tissue massage, and heat and cold. We emphasize exercise, activity modification counseling, job simulation retraining and education for the prevention of future injuries through physical therapy and occupational therapy.
We specialize in:
  • Physical therapy
  • Hand therapy/occupational therapy
  • Athletic training and sports medicine
  • Exercise and wellness
  • Biomechanical evaluation and orthotic fabrication
  • Isokinetic strength testing
  • Total joint replacement rehabilitation
  • Back injury rehabilitation and education
  • Lumbar stabilization
  • TMJ
In addition, physical and occupational therapy is also available to patients requiring biofeedback/neuromuscular re-education and/or speech/swallow therapy. For more information on our programs, call us at (407) 303-8626. To schedule an appointment, call (407) 303-8080.
