Centra Care: Florida Hospital Urgent Care

For individuals who require urgent care—but not emergency care—for the treatment of conditions such as colds, flu, sore throats, earaches, stomach aches and broken bones, we are proud to offer Centra Care, Central Florida’s only urgent care service backed by a nationally recognized hospital system. Centra Care provides friendly, professional walk-in care at 17 locations throughout the metro Orlando area, which means chances are you’ll find help whenever you need it.

We also offer our neighbors the Centra Care Medical Savings Program. Through this program, member families receive discounts on medical expenses such as regular visits, x-rays and lab tests, and receive discounts at participating area pharmacies. Please visit your area Centra Care for more information on this money-saving opportunity for your family.

As part of our commitment to improving the health of our community, the doctors at our Centra Care locations compile volumes of patient data in Orange, Lake, Seminole and Osceola counties to determine “What’s Going Around?” in Central Florida. This important information is designed to help our neighbors see the sicknesses and viruses that may be prevalent in their area so they can take steps to prevent their coworkers, family members or themselves from getting sick.

After Hours Clinics

Sometimes our Orange County neighbors require non-urgent care after hours. Instead of heading to the Emergency Department, where they may have to wait for long periods of time while more urgent or emergency cases are attended to, these individuals are encouraged to visit a neighborhood Primary Care Access Network (PCAN) clinic. The PCAN is a collaborative effort between Orange County government, primary health care center, hospitals and other social services to make sure that all members of our community have access to medical care when they need it.

These clinics accept most insurances, as well as Medicaid and Medicare. If you do not have medical insurance or have limited insurance, the clinics offer a sliding fee scale for regular health care services. No appointment is necessary. These clinics are a convenient alternative for patients with non-urgent and minor health care needs, and can also provide follow-up for Emergency Department visits.
