Diabetes Group Classes
Group classes are for people who are newly diagnosed with diabetes Type 1 or Type 2, as well as for people who want to deepen their understanding of diabetes and learn everyday strategies to enjoy a healthier lifestyle. In the two 4-5 hour group classes, you will learn how to:
- Monitor your blood glucose

- Plan meals that improve your blood glucose control
- Start an exercise program
- Make lifestyle changes that can improve your health
As a participant of a group class you can interact and share experiences with your peers, while still having the opportunity to work directly with Certified Diabetes Educators, who will design a Custom Meal Plan who will help you understand how to best manage your Diabetes.

Gestational Diabetes Class
If your blood sugar level is elevated during pregnancy, you may be diagnosed with gestational diabetes – even if you have never had diabetes before. The gestational diabetes class is a 3-4hour program.
Insulin Pump Training & Management
An insulin pump is an electronic pocket size device, which gives insulin at a steady dose all day and lets you give yourself a dose before each meal. One of the benefits of an insulin pump is the flexibility that it gives you compared with other ways of administering insulin. The insulin pump program is an individualized training designed to cover all basic and advanced insulin pump management. Everything you need to know about using an insulin pump is covered in your special group or one-on-one session with a Certified Diabetes Educator. Plus, you’ll have an opportunity to ask specific questions about all current insulin pumps. Our educators will work closely with your physician to provide you with an optimal training program.
