Deviated Septum

Conditions Related to Deviated Septum

Trouble breathing on one side of the nose is the most common problem related to a deviated septum. Many people also experience a constant discharge from the sinuses. However, repeated sinus infections may occur if the deviation is great enough to prevent draining. Cleft defects, such as cleft lip and palate, may also be involved in a deviated septum.
