Survivability of Cystic Fibrosis

Currently, despite recent, ongoing medical advances, there is no cure yet for cystic fibrosis. Children born with cystic fibrosis have a maximum life expectancy of about 35 years. Though the severity of symptoms may vary, respiratory failure is the most common cause of death among those with cystic fibrosis.
