This elite distinction was given for excellence in patient safety and rates the quality of our care as the highest in the nation, placing us among 10 children’s hospitals to earn the recognition. To achieve this recognition, Florida Hospital for Children reported on 18 national performance measures in areas including inpatient care management, medication safety, clinical processes, and staffing. Being named a top hospital means Florida Hospital for Children scored among the top in the nation on these measures and also met The Leapfrog Group’s rigorous qualitative requirements for overall excellence.
